Feeling Blessed

It hadn't been a week since graduation and I was offered a job at the University of Utah as an Academic Support Specialist. I am pretty happy about the job to tell the truth. I applied for the job during the last week of school. On Tuesday of last week I received a call asking if I would come in to interview with them on Wednesday. I went in for the interview which went very well I thought and went home. They told me that I should expect to hear back about the position a week from that time. The next morning I was with my good friend Cody heading to Preston and Kelsi Leavitt's wedding when I got a call with an offer. I was ecstatic. For never having to interview for a real job, I felt pretty lucky, blessed really, to be receiving a job so quickly. Now I am just waiting to start until Monday and this week has really shown me how great it is to actually have a job. Although it is kind of nice after such a busy year, just sitting around my house with nothing to do got old real fast. I'm soooo glad to go out and work and to get to work in higher education makes it even better. I loved my jobs at SUU and have been considering whether or not to go into higher education a bit so this will be the perfect job. Oh and did I mention that the pay and benefits are great?

  1. Justin, I'm proud of you! How exciting! I bet you didn't even know I read your blog but I'm glad I do. I miss all our high school friends. None of which have even met my little boy, which is a little sad really. It's really great to have a grown up job. I'm glad we finally found one too... I guess everyone has to give up something for it though. I never thought I would move to another country or that you would work at the U! :) Good luck with everything!
