Day 5: A Song that Reminds You of Someone

This song is a bit dated but it's a classic and is still known by kids all over because of people like Ms. Marshall, my fifth grade teacher and my favorite at that. She was one of the spunkiest ladies I've ever met. She and her best friend, a fellow fifth grade teacher Ms. Taylor created "50's day" at Horizon Elementary School (my alma mater) and all the boys would come with their hair slicked back and the girls came wearing poodle skirts. There was an assembly that day and the choir would sing this song. Ms. Marshall developed an adaptation of Happy Days for the stage with acting parts and everything. I played Squiggy in the play. Those were great times. I remember that it was a very sad day at Horizon when she announced her retirement. I think she retired about 10 years ago or so and they still do "50's day."
