159, February, and the Jimmer Show

So I can't sleep. I'm listening to Sugar Ray (shamelessly might I add), reminiscing about where all my childhood days have gone to. Wondering how the heck I turned 23 last year and thinking, I don't even know where I was this last February. It's like it never even happened. But I know it did. I took the LSAT as I mentioned in my last post over a month ago. . .my bad. . .but I did get my score back and I am pleased to report a satisfactory 159. Nothing to brag about and yet nothing to be ashamed of so, there it is, broadcast to the world. It's about the 78th percentile if you want some perspective. I am actually trying to consider whether I should take it again in June. Not sure though. With my grades, extracurriculars, and a good personal statement, I will be accepted into a respectable program. According to the Law School Admissions Council regression formula they came up with, I have about a 50% chance of getting accepted into BYU which isn't very encouraging in my mind because that means it's more like 25% as BYU loves their diversity and when it comes to diversity, well, let's just say I fit the mold that they try to break out of. But who knows, they need to take a few white Mormon boys right? I imagine if I knew someone important at the school I could get my foot in the door. Maybe I can get Jimmer to write me a letter of recommendation. Sure, he doesn't know me, but he seems like a nice enough guy that he would sign an endorsement for me or something. He's amazing by the way. Had to mention it. Go BYU.

Well, other than that, I am living a pretty routine life right now trying to stay caught up in classes, student government stuff, and spend time with a certain special young lady. Speaking of whom, I am quite jealous of her as she is heading off to England for 10 days with her family tomorrow and then shortly after her return she will be heading off to Abu Dhabi with the Provost and 9 other students for a neato conference called Education Without Borders. Can you say world traveler? Yeah. . .I'm spending the month in beautiful Cedar City, which, yep, I just checked, is blanketed in several inches of brand new snow. Love the late winter snow storms. But, as my good friend Cody Alderson always says, "it's good for the snow pack."

What am I going to do when I graduate in May you may be asking? Well, who knows. All that is guaranteed is that I will be a counselor for GHA at the end of June which I really can't wait for. I was just told today that I was selected to be a GHA Counselor! So excited. I love working with youth.

Thought I'd share a nice picture with a couple of my favorite things combined. Penguins and logic. Love it! Thanks for reading this very random post by the way.
